The Rufous Hummingbird is a native of the West Coast, where it migrates 4,000 miles each year between Alaska and Mexico. But occasionally one takes a long detour. This one appeared recently in the southeast Ocala backyard of Marty Cunningham, who has been cultivating an inviting bird habitat for more than 20 years.
